In this introductory class, students will learn terminology used in crochet, the basic crochet stitches: chain, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet. In week 3, we’ll start crocheting a hat.
Experience: None needed - this class is for complete beginners who’ve never picked up a crochet hook before, or for those that maybe learned a long time ago but have forgotten and need a refresher class.
Materials/tools: Size G or H crochet hook, practice yarn, and Cascade 220 Superwash Merino.
Class type: Project oriented
Class Fee: $40 includes 1 skein DIYarn practice yarn. Other materials (crochet hook and yarn for hat) purchased separately at 2 Needle Chicks.
Cancellation Policy: You will receive a full refund if you cancel your class registration up to one week before the class start date. If you change or cancel your registration within one week of the start date and we can fill your spot, you will receive a full refund. If we are unable to fill your spot, we cannot offer a refund. This ensures that our teachers are fairly compensated for their time and that wait-listed students will have the opportunity to register for sold out classes. Once a class starts, we do not offer make up classes for any reason. We reserve the right to cancel a class if enrollment drops below three students or to reschedule in the event of inclement weather or illness. We will hold a wait-list for classes that are full. The course fee must be paid in full at least 1 week prior to start of class, otherwise your spot may be given to the next person on the wait-list. Registration is considered complete upon full payment. Registering without paying does NOT confirm your seat in the class.
